It's almost time to paint the house.

The latest idea in exteriors: the multi-color scheme.

If you are planning to paint this spring, consider using a multi-color scheme: say four, five, or more. To many of you, that sounds like a lot of color. I'm not suggesting big color block patterns dominating the façade. The truth is that a simple, two-color scheme lacks dimension, like a flat picture in a story book.

I recently completed colors for a brand new golf clubhouse in Virginia called Creighton Farms. The challenge was to find colors that would work well with the existing trim, and the other elements, such as the stone on the front façade.
