Interior consultations are conducted on-site only in the greater Boston area.

The cost is $1200 for Standard Service. Consultation Fees vary depending on the type of service.

How long does an exterior color consultation take?

An exterior consultation takes anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the type of service you select.

How many paint color options will I receive for an exterior color consultation?

On average 7-10 different complete color scenarios. The advantage of so many schemes is that you get to see more than just a few house color options. You will know that you have fully explored the best possibilities and made an informed choice. This method saves us both a lot of time going back and forth discussing all the iterations on a scheme. My clients can readily select the best color scheme for them from those I provide "as is".

What kind of paint and stain do you recommend?

Popular national brands that are readily available.

Can I send you digital photos instead of color prints?

Yes, you can e-mail images in jpeg or TIFF format or send a CD.

How many photos do I need to send you?

On average I need between 20-25 digital photographs or 24, 35mm prints. (See Photo Instructions).

Can you help me select colors for the roof? Stone and brick colors? Awning colors? Fence/gate colors?

Yes, and there is no additional charge.

Do you consult on historic buildings?

Yes, I am able to provide color schemes for historic buildings. And, depending on the desires of my clients, I can either provide historically accurate colors or a palette to suit more modern tastes and sensibilities. The majority of my clients have a preference for more current paint color trends.
